WHAT ARE ORTHOTICS

Orthotics are custom made inserts placed inside footwear. They help align and distribute pressures throughout the gait cycle maximizing muscle mechanics and joint motion.

BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT & GAIT ANALYSIS

The biomechanical assessment is an evaluation of the lower limb including foot structure, bone alignment, strength & range of motion.
Assessments are performed when a patient has complaints of chronic pain in the lower body. This includes pain in the hips, leg, knee, ankle, arch, heel and toes.
When left untreated foot and lower limb pain can increase and lead to other health problems.

Orthotics may be the answer.

DO I NEED ORTHOTICS

Only a chiropodist/podiatrist can effectively determine of you need orthotics. If you are experiencing foot pain or suspect that other aches may be related to your feet, you should see a chiropodist/podiatrist.
